Birth Forest

The 2017 Birth Forest planting will take place at the Bike Park for the second year in a row, located at 333 West Creek Drive.

Birth Forest Planting

The tree planting event is held annually on

National Tree Day:  Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Participants pay a $40.00 fee which helps, in part, to pay for the small trees that are purchased from a local tree nursery. This is a wonderful way for Chestermere families to celebrate the birth of children born over the past year.

The deadline for registration is September 9.

The registration form along with payment can be dropped off at City Hall
(Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 4:30pm) or the Public Works Building by cheque or cash in the exact amount (Mon – Fri, 7:00am  – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:30pm). There will be a maximum of 25 trees planted so please get your applications in early to reserve your tree!

For more information, please call the Parks Department at (403) 207-2807 or e-mail.

Download the registration form.

Overview

Every year, the Streetscape Committee plants trees in September to recognize those children born to families living within the City of Chestermere.

Last year, 15 families participated in the Birth Forest planting on National Tree Day, September 21, 2016.

There is no better way to help save the environment than by planting a tree. You can do your part by honouring your child with a tree in our 2017 Birth Forest.
