Assessors available to meet with residents

New dates have been added for residents to meet with the assessors from Accurate Assessment Group one-on-one. The assessors will be available Monday April 11 and Tuesday April 19 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Municipal Office to meet with residents to review individual assessment evaluations.

It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check your assessment is accurate. You can view the summary report on the City’s Webmap at www.chestermere.ca/webmap, where you can find information about your home details such as whether you have a finished basement or not.

If you do not agree with the assessor’s explanation or calculation, you have the right to file a formal complaint to the Assessment Review Board within 60 days of receiving your assessment notice. The deadline for 2016 is May 10. The Assessment Review Board will then review your case at a hearing.

To book an appointment to meet with an assessor please call the Municipal Office at (403) 207-7050.

If you have questions about your assessment or disagree with it, you can contact Accurate Assessment Group at bob@aag-gis.com or 1-877-438-2305.
