The Community Resource Centre (CRC) is expanding its services! Starting in April 2017, the CRC will offer support, information and referral services at the Chestermere Regional Food Bank office once a week.
Danielle Fermin, the Family and Community Services Coordinator, shares, “We are so grateful to have a strong relationship with our partners at Chestermere Regional Food Bank and to have this opportunity to meet with those who need the support most.”
Currently, the Community Resource Centre operates out of City Hall but both agencies have been working to look at more coordinated efforts to respond to the food and income insecurity faced by many in Chestermere.
Vicki Osanyintola, President of Chestermere Regional Food Bank, adds, “We are looking forward to the future of our partnership with Community Services and are grateful for this opportunity to serve our community more efficiently.”
Starting April 5, 2017, the Community Resource Centre will be available to meet with clients (walk in or by appointment) during the following times:
- 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays at the Chestermere Regional Food Bank (Bay 105, 100 Rainbow Road, Chestermere).
- 9:00 am – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday at City Hall (105 Marina Road)
“We hope this joint service will better support individuals and families in Chestermere who access both the Community Resource Centre and Chestermere Regional Food Bank for services,” says Fermin.
