Celebrate the Arts in Chestermere on September 25 and 26.

night join us for the Opening Night Blank Canvas Event from 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. There will be an Art Market and wine and beer for purchase. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance at the library and at the door, event night.

Saturday there is something for everyone! Various arts workshops will take place from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Workshops  include melted crayon art, ceramic, jewelry making, crazy colouring owls, Latin dance, pencil profile sketching, water colours and book art. 

And, from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. enjoy an Art Market with an unplugged café and live musical performances.

Have you always marveled at those trendy wired bracelets? Join the beginner class hosted by Beads and Plenty More.

Learn how to use jewelry tools to create wire pieces for a bracelet or necklace.

Workshop  for Ages 16 yrs. an up


Get creative with your ceramic painting  project and paint a master piece!

Join Amy from Fun Works Studio in this great family time workshop.

Items will be glazed and ready for pick up at Fun Works Studio after the workshop.

Workshop for children 8 and up.


If you’ve ever seen books with the pages folded into the shape of words and objects and wondered how is it done.

Crafty Cathy from the Library is self-taught and is going to share her secrets.

It's such a fun way of re-using old books and give them another purpose.

Instructor: David Erne
David has been dancing, teaching, and choreographing Salsa since 2003, has competed internationally in such prestigious competitions as the World Salsa Championships (now called World Latin Dance Cup). His love of dance lead him to train with some of the best Salsa/Mambo dancers in the world.  He has also trained in other dance styles including Afro-Cuban, Guaguanco, Ballet, & International Style Latin. 

Dave will be teaching Salsa, which is undoubtedly one of the most popular dance in the world due to its energy, diversity of movement and interpretation. Salsa has many unique styles and is danced all around the world in Latin and non-Latin cultures.
