Advanced Traveller Information System (ATIS)

The Calgary Advanced Traveller Information System (ATIS) is a Web-based technology which provides the public with information on detours and lane closures from construction or major events, incident reports, weather conditions, road conditions and camera images from the Traffic Management Centre.

The purpose of ATIS is to use technology to collect, process and disseminate information that helps travellers decide when to travel, the mode to choose and the route to take.

Static images from the traffic cameras are fed to the ATIS website for viewing by the public using standard Web browsers.
