July Happenings

We’re Focusing on Physical Literacy

Throughout the month of July, Parent & Caregiver Support Services will be focusing on Physical Literacy. What is it? How much physical activity should your children be getting each day? How can you get your kids excited about exercise? These and other questions will be answered for you on our Facebook page (@ChestermerePCSS), as well as plenty of helpful strategies, tips, and resources to support parents and caregivers with raising physically literate children.

Hop, Skip, Jump Challenge

Get the whole family moving, and encourage some Chestermere spirit by participating in our Hop, Skip, Jump Challenge this month!  All participants will be automatically entered to win a draw prize!  #ChestermereSkips

Skip Challenge PosterGrow & Learn

Meet, connect and learn alongside local service providers in our Grow & Learn program. Ask questions, access resources, request a referral, or just listen and learn. This program is designed to support parents with children ages 0-13, and connect with local, community-based information, services and supports.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to hear from our local Exercise Specialist! PCN

To go along with our theme this July. we will be hosting a virtual Grow & Learn session with Lynda Wiechnik, an Exercise Specialist from the Calgary Rural Primary Care Network (PCN). She will discuss the importance of exercise for both children and adults, present some fun activity ideas to get your little one’s moving and having fun, and answer your questions. Please stay tuned for the date, time, and how to register!
