Welcome to the City of Chestermere's Winter Activity Guide!
Wondering what there is to do this winter in Chestermere? Look no further! The City's got your guide to winter fun this season. The Winter Activity Guide includes great locations for outdoor play, ideas for activities you can do in your own backyard and ways to get involved and give back to your community.

Due to warm temperatures and fluctuating ice conditions, recording ice measurements on the lake has ended.
Safety of the public and of City staff is of the utmost importance. It is strongly advised that residents and visitors stay off of the ice.

Photo Scavenger Hunt Contest
Our photo scavenger hunt will get your family out, exploring Chestermere and having fun, we guarantee! To participate, take a photo capturing one or more of the ideas on our list then post your photos on social media and use the hashtag #chestermerewinterfun. Those who post will be entered into a draw to win a $50 gift card to one of our local restaurants!

Wild Wilderness Webinar
Wednesday, February 17 in partnership with CPAWS and RVIS. This is a family focused environmental education webinar designed for parents and children of any age, this workshop will feature fun and engaging visuals, activities, and discussions on water, nature, and wellness.
There are two sessions (afternoon and evening) to accommodate families schedules. This is a great activities for families to do while the kids are off school that week.

Be A Snow (Removal) Angel
Shovel your neighbour’s walkway or driveway.
But remember to be safe:
- When shoveling, remember to warm up and stretch well, and not over exert yourself.
- When bending over for extended periods of time, stand up slowly to avoid dizziness.
- When lifting, use the proper lifting and bending technique to avoid back injury, be cognoscente of the amount of weight you can lift without injuring yourself.
- Be aware of your surroundings such as hazards and obstacles in your way, busy roadways, and
other park users.
Light Up a Pathway or Park
Place winter lights on your fence if it faces a pathway or park to help light the way for the community! This will help community members stay outside longer during the winter months because they can walk home safely.
