Busking Permits

The City is excited to announce that some local performers will be entertaining residents and visitors in the community this summer!

Through an initiative created by the Arts Recreation Culture (ARC) Coalition, the City has developed a temporary permit that can be issued to local buskers who would like to perform in community parks.

Buskers can apply for this permit by filling out an application here.

Buskers who are issued with a permit will be able to perform on pre-approved dates, times and locations, and must have the permit with them at all times when performing.

Other requirements include:

  • Amplification devices must be used responsibly and cannot violate the noise bylaw.
  • Busking cannot take place during any City hosted events or festivals.
  • The permit must be displayed while busking.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18, he or she must be accompanied by an adult while busking.

Permits are subject to cancellation by any City of Chestermere Peace Officer if reasonable complaints are received, or at the discretion of the Chief Administrative Officer.
