The City of Chestermere is pleased to recognize Small Business Week, taking place from October 18-24, 2020.
“Our businesses are the heart of Chestermere,” says Mayor Marshall Chalmers. “Our business community may be small, but it is a vital and integral aspect to the municipality. As a Council, we are committed to finding ways to support our local business community, and celebrating Small Business Week is one example of that. This week, we want to feature local businesses, celebrate their success and encourage ongoing local support.”
Chestermere is home to more than 350 businesses with an active business licence.
During small business week, the City will be sharing profiles of some local businesses, highlighting events and webinars for business owners, and sharing information and links to local business resources.
“Local business owners are the ones who supply our homes, employ community members, and give to local causes. This week, and as you begin thinking about Christmas shopping, we encourage residents to shop close to home and support the businesses that make our community thrive,” says Chalmers.
