A top priority Chestermere City Council identified for 2022 was to introduce a new dog park for the community's use. Currently, Chestermere only has one existing off-leash park, just north of John Peake Park.
After public consultation, resident input, and development review, City Administration has recommended the new dog park be located on the corner of Windermere Drive and Paradise Road, under the Altalink powerlines.
The new dog park will include on-site parking, complete fencing with spring closing gates, benches, garbages, and dog waste bags available for use.
We invite residents and local dog parents to join us for the Open House, and/or to take a moment to let us know their thoughts here: Chestermere Dog Comments (surveymonkey.com).
