The City of Chestermere has proclaimed Oct. 17-23 as Waste Reduction Week.

As a municipality, we are committed to conserving natural resources, protecting the environment and educating the community on waste reduction practices.

Chestermere celebrates the anniversary of Waste Reduction Week in Canada, a national campaign focused on waste reduction and resource conservation and creating solutions to the many environmental challenges we face.

We encourage our community members to collectively focus their efforts on reducing waste and discover ways to sort and recycle household garbage to preserve our environment.
