As a result of remarkable financial planning and strategy throughout, 2022 the City of Chestermere and Chestermere City Council have realized over $6 Million Dollars in savings to the City!
Our success in earning a $6.2 million dollar budget surplus is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our city officials, employees, and community members. By implementing a careful examination of our operations, we identified areas where we could streamline processes and eliminate unnecessary costs. This restructuring allowed us to optimize our resources and operate more efficiently, resulting in substantial savings for our residents that will be passed on through tax breaks, social services and infrastructure support.
It's important to note that while the City has made significant changes to improve our financial standing, we have not compromised the quality of services we offer. We understand that providing essential services such as road maintenance, waste management, public safety, and recreational facilities is crucial for a thriving community. Rest assured, our surplus has not come at the expense of these vital services. We remain committed to maintaining a high level of service delivery, ensuring that Chestermere continues to be a wonderful place to live, work, and play.
