Check under the couch cushions and search your seats for extra quarters because it’s Lemonade Day on Saturday!
Lemonade Day is an international event designed to teach kids ages 6-17 about entrepreneurship. Participants in the program learn about loans, business licences, marketing, and product development by creating a lemonade stand.
On Saturday, all their learnings come to life as they sell their treats throughout the community for the 3rd annual event.
“What better way to teach kids about the excitement and challenge of running a business?” says Catherine Proulx, the City’s Economic Development Manager. “We have more than 60 lemonade stands around Chestermere this year and we encourage the community be part of this experience. With a little bit of change and time, you are inspiring the next generation of business owners.”
