About this Program
This program offers an opportunity for anyone to honour a veteran with a special banner that will be placed in a Chestermere park. It is open to honouring those who served in regular forces, peacekeepers and reservists (past and present). Please note that the cost to have each banner created is $170.00. If you have any questions about this program, please contact the City of Chestermere Parks Department at 403-207-2807.

Please provide the name and rank of the service member as you would like it to be displayed. E.g. Lt. Col. M.A. Germain

Please include a photo of the service member that is to appear on the banner, preferably their official service photo. If you would prefer, you can submit a physical photo with the application form. Physical photos will be returned to the applicant after the deadline date.

Once payment has been made, a member of the Streetscape Committee will follow up with any information about the program as required.
Please note that the deadline for 2023 is Sept. 1 to ensure a banner is displayed in time for Remembrance Day.
Please note that the banner will become the property of the City of Chestermere and will be displayed annually leading up to and including Remembrance Day.
A family can request to take possession of their banner at any time.
Please note that all banners will be hung for a minimum of 3 years unless they have been damaged beyond repair. In the event of such damage, the family will be notified and may purchase a replacement.
The personal information is being collected for activities related to the production of a Veterans Banner for the City of Chestermere, and as such is deemed to be an activity of the City of Chestermere. The personal information is collected under the authority of Section 33(1)(c)of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and will be used only for the purpose identified.
